ALMONDS
Almonds are regarded as the most fertility nutrient-packed of all nuts. They have a high amount of monounsaturated fats and are cholesterol free. This helps in improving all round health. Almonds have been researched a great deal as a food that successfully improves both female and male reproduction. It is full of vitamin E which improves sperm health in men and in regulating the production of cervical mucus in women.
FISH
Fish has a high concentration of essential fatty acids especially omega 3, which help regulate the menstrual cycle, aid in the production of hormones and reduce inflammation. Of the various varieties of fish, cold water fish such as salmon are better, rather than deep sea fish such as tuna as these may have a high concentration of mercury. Fish is also another great source of protein which improves all round health.
WALNUTS
Walnuts are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and according to some studies eating around 75g of walnuts daily (a handful) is linked with increased sperm vitality, motility and morphology in men. Walnuts also add flavour and crunch to salads.
POMEGRANATES
Pomegranates have long been considered a superfood due to its high antioxidant content which improves blood circulation, reduces risk of cardiovascular disease and lowers inflammation. Research shows that pomegranates also causes surges in testosterone and improves sperm quality in men and increases sex drive and mood in both sexes.
BLUEBERRIES
Blueberries are a wonderful source of powerful, anti-inflammatory antioxidants. Studies show that they can help in maintaining healthy sperm parameters including motility and quality in men.
